Join ORANGERIE for the closing reception of The California Image: Beyond the Commercial Frame, with photographer Greg Gorman in attendance.
For more than five decades, Greg Gorman has photographed many of the defining figures of film, music and contemporary culture, while developing a body of fine-art photography distinguished by its dramatic use of light and the human form.
Gary Johns is a former commercial film director whose has won several Cannes Lions. He has spent decades thinking about how images acquire meaning, persuade us and endure. His practice centers on photography, collage, assemblage, found material and the transformation of overlooked objects.
Huntley Muir is the collaborative practice of British artists Su Huntley and Donna Muir, who have worked together across painting, drawing, photography, collage, theatre and design. Their images are made, dismantled, drawn upon and rebuilt. Their work is held in collections across the worlds of art, film, music, fashion…
